FRIENDS OF THE LA PORTE CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY
La Porte City Public Library's Friends group is a passionate, volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, sharpening, and championing our library. We believe that a great library is the heart of a great community. While city or county funding keeps our doors open and our building running, the Friends step in to provide the "extras" that make our library truly special. Through membership dues, book sales, and fundraising events, we raise the vital funds needed to enhance our collections, upgrade technology, and sponsor beloved community programs for all ages.
Want to make a difference? Whether you have a few hours a month to volunteer at a book sale, want to attend our monthly meetings, or simply wish to show your support through an annual membership, there is a place for you here. Joining the Friends is a wonderful way to meet fellow book lovers, give back to your community, and ensure our library continues to thrive for generations to come.
