Jake Rochford-Volk
Library Director
Jake Rochford-Volk (he/him) is the Library Director as of July 2024. Jake is a current student in the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Iowa, and he is a recent graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, obtaining his MA in English with an emphasis on the history of the book, specifically the Paperback Revolution of the mid-1900s. His work at UIowa is focused on Academic, Special Collections, and Archival Librarianships.
From college campuses to public libraries, Jake has a decade of library experience across multiple disciplines. Jake and his husband, a full-time Library Assistant at Waterloo Public Library, are currently living in Waterloo with their four cats: Gaia, Odin, Orpheus, and Stella. When not in libraries or school, Jake can be found reading novels from Becky Chambers or taking a bike ride with his husband.

Charline Moine
Library Assistant
Charline Moine is a long time resident of La Porte City where she lives a quiet life with her husband and where they had the privilege to raise their two sons. Charline has been working at Hawkins Memorial Library since July of 2016 as a Library Assistant. For Charline, it has been fulfilling working with and for those in our community. This has been the perfect way for her to serve our community in a small but significant way. Come visit our library, we are here for you.

Anni DeBoef-Craft
Librarian
Anni DeBoef-Craft (she/her) is a Librarian first hired in September 2023. She obtained her Masters degree in Library Science with an archival emphasis at the University of Maryland, graduating in 2011. She also has a bachelor's degree in American literature from Iowa State University. Anni is primarily focused on Circulation and Teen Services, including collection development for the YA, classics, and reference sections, and producing displays and scavenger hunts.

Zac Neuendorf
Library Assistant
Zac Neuendorf (they/them) started at the Library in October 2024 and is a Library Assistant, primarily focused on programming for youth. They graduated from Iowa State University in 2017 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, with an emphasis on English Literature. In their free time, they enjoy foraging wild mushrooms at the local parks sprinkled around Eastern Iowa.
